Version 2.6.2 convinces with its clearly arranged, user friendly interface with two different views: Job Explorer and System Manager. New functions, more flexible settings, and the extended job list enable the system to be handled intuitively and make creating a workflow easier than ever before. Users also benefit from speed advantages, an unlimited number of clients, and a whole range of new functions, such as step & repeat, setting up a virtual printer, and processing 7-colour source and simulation profiles.

Perfect simulation of the production run

A convincing simulation of the production run does not just depend on colour accuracy. Version 2.6.2 now offers the option of imitating specific features of various print processes in Colorproof XF.

Specify the first printable dot in accordance with your production run or define noise intensity and you will get an extremely realistic and impressive result. For gravure printing, simulate the characteristic missing dots and obtain a proof which has an appearance that is typical of faulty ink transfer from the gravure cylinder cells to the paper.

Optimal colour quality

The enhanced linearisation algorithm in the LinTool, now also available for Mac OS X, ensures smoother gradation, improved grey balance, and minimal colour casts in the grey.

Integration of the new 3D optimiser in the LinTool also offers an effective tool for maximum colour accuracy. In an iterative optimisation process, a printer’s output quality is matched to a particular reference. This might be a press or another printer at the same site or a geographically remote one. Ease of operation optimises the output quality of an individual proofing system and enables different printers to be perfectly coordinated in a multi-printer environment,creating the ideal conditions for your remote workflow.

Extended Color Manager Option –professional creation of iCC profiles

Version 2.6.2 has significantly expanded the Color Manager Option, which is now also available for Mac OS X. The enhanced profiling algorithm boosts colour quality and has been optimised for RGB outputs, resulting in less rainbow effects, improved grey balance and shadow detail, smoother gradation, and minimal solarisation effects.
For the first time ever, you can create ICC paper profiles with up to six colour channels as well as device link profiles. Reference profiles can now also be used as separation profiles, thereby expanding integration with other applications.

Cutting-edge production functions offer you optimal support. The expanded step & repeat functions enable you to create patterns in no time at all. Use the tiling function to divide a print job into different parts and facilitate processing of print jobs that are larger than the printer width. Overlaps, cutting marks, and tile numbering are freely definable and enable printouts to be joined together more easily later
on. The display in the preview window gives you an exact overview and enables misprints to be minimised. Colour adjustment functions allow you to manually adjust colour, brightness, and contrast, thereby meeting your customers’ specific needs, even at short notice.
